Product Description
NMK series modular slip-ring motors are engineered for heavy load inertia applications. Slip ring motors feature high starting torque with low starting current, making them ideal for heavy inertia loads such as mill drives and sites with weak power grid conditions.
NMK slip ring motors reduce mechanical stress during startup and extend service life of coupled equipment. They maintain stable high torque across the full speed range and deliver reliable continuous operation. Widely adopted in mining, cement and metal industries for mills, crushers, fans and conveyors. They also serve water industry pumps, plus pumps, compressors and mixers for non-hazardous areas in petrochemical sectors.
NMK slip ring motors come in frame sizes 400 to 710 mm. Standard configuration is IC611/IP55 and IC81W/IP55, with maximum rated power up to 10,000 kW. The motor adopts welded steel frame. The slip ring assembly can be equipped with permanent contact brushes or brush lifting devices. The slip rings are enclosed within a separate housing on the non-drive end, isolated from the main motor frame. Liquid resistance starter (LRS) is available upon customer request.
This catalog only presents typical technical data of 6kV and 11kV, 50Hz motors with 4, 6 and 8 poles. Mounting Arrangements
IM B3 and IM1001 horizontal foot mounted are standard mounting forms for NMK motors. Other mounting types such as IM1002 can be customized on request.
Enclosure and Cooling System
Standard cooling and protection combinations for NMK motors are IC611/IP55 and IC81W/IP55. Extra cooling options like IC616, IC86W are available upon request.
IC611/IP55
This fully enclosed motor is fitted with an air-to-air heat exchanger. Shaft-driven fans are installed inside the main frame, slip ring housing and outside casing to support internal and external cooling circuits. IP55 protection prevents dust ingress and splash water from all directions.
IC81W/IP55
Totally enclosed motor equipped with air-to-water heat exchangers mounted on motor body and slip ring unit housing. A shaft-mounted fan inside the casing circulates air for internal cooling circuit. IP55 protection against dust and splashing water from any direction.
Packaging
Export standard seaworthy packing. Options include plywood case or fumigated wooden case, suitable for long-distance sea and land transportation.
Warranty Period
Standard warranty term: 12 months after commissioning or 18 months after shipment, whichever comes first. Extended warranty service is negotiable. Please get in touch with us for further information.
