Product Description

Modular Induction Motors – AMI Series
The AMI engineered modular induction motors deliver high reliability and availability for tough and demanding industrial applications. Built on a proven modular platform, they can be tailored to meet specific customer requirements and application conditions.

These motors comply with relevant international standards and are available for both direct-on-line and variable speed drive operation. The welded steel frame design supports flexible configurations, including multiple cooling methods and mounting arrangements.

Standard shaft heights range from 400 mm to 630 mm, and the motors can be mounted horizontally or vertically. While the catalog data is shown at 50 Hz, the motors are also suitable for 50 Hz and 60 Hz operation, with synchronous speeds from 500 to 3600 rpm. Output power in the catalog reaches up to 8,000 kW, while the complete product range extends up to 23,000 kW.

Mounting Arrangements

• IM B3 / IM 1001: Horizontal foot-mounted.
• IM V1 / IM 4011: Vertical flange-mounted, free shaft end facing downwards.
• Other mounting arrangements are available on request.

Enclosure and Cooling

IC01 / IP24
Weather-protected motor with a shaft-mounted internal cooling fan. The air intake design helps reduce the ingress of rain, snow, and airborne particles. The motor is protected against splashing water from any direction.

IC611 / IP55
Fully enclosed motor with an air-to-air heat exchanger. Shaft-mounted fans are installed inside and outside the casing to cool the internal and external circuits. The motor is protected against dust and splashing water from any direction.

IC81W / IP55
Fully enclosed motor equipped with an air-to-water heat exchanger. A shaft-mounted fan inside the casing supplies the internal cooling circuit. The motor is protected against dust and splashing water from any direction.

IC31 / IP55
Designed for remote cooling air through inlet and outlet pipes. This version is essentially the AMI motor frame without an upper cover. The motor is protected against dust and splashing water from any direction.

Packaging

Standard seaworthy packaging for export, including plywood cases or fumigated wooden cases. Suitable for long-distance transportation by sea or land.

Warranty

Standard warranty: 12 months after commissioning or 18 months after delivery, whichever occurs first. Extended warranty options are available upon request.
