- Product Overview
HXR 560 series rib cooled motors adopt robust cast iron housing. As totally enclosed fan cooled units, IC411 cooling system and IP55 protection are configured as standard options. IC416 cooling and IP66 protection can be selected on request.
This motor series covers rated power up to 2250kW with shaft height of 560mm. It supports both horizontal and vertical installation. Although the technical data listed in this catalog is based on 50Hz operation, the motor can run at 50Hz and 60Hz, delivering synchronous speed ranging from 500 rpm to 3600 rpm. - Mounting Arrangements
- IM B3 (IM 1001): Standard horizontal foot mounting, feet downward
- IM V1 (IM 3011): Vertical flange mounting, flange and free shaft end facing downwards with solid shaft

Equipped with a shaft-mounted external fan, the motor utilizes ambient air for heat dissipation. It can resist dust ingress and water jet impact. The working principle is shown in diagram 27.
IC416 / IP55
IC416 cooling version is optional. A separate auxiliary motor drives the cooling fan to provide sufficient cooling capacity for low-speed working conditions, especially when the motor is controlled by variable speed drives.
Protection Grade Definition
- IP55: Dust can enter the housing in tiny amounts without impairing motor performance; resistant to water jets sprayed from any direction.
- IP66: Fully dust-tight enclosure; withstands powerful water jets (12.5 mm nozzle) from all directions with no damage.
IC411 Cooling Principle
Frame surface cooling: Primary coolant circulates inside the motor in a closed loop. Heat is transferred through stator core and thermally conductive components to the motor outer casing, then dissipated to ambient air. The frame surface can be smooth or ribbed, and an outer shell can be added to enhance heat exchange.
Self-circulation: Coolant circulation relies on the rotation of the main motor, driven by rotor assembly or fan/pump directly mounted on the rotor shaft.

Standard export seaworthy packing, available with plywood case or fumigated wooden case. Suitable for long-distance sea and land transportation. - Warranty
