Enclosure and Cooling Methods

| IC01 / IP24 | Weather protected motor with a shaft-mounted cooling fan inside the housing. The air intake path is designed so that the average velocity does not exceed 3 m/s, allowing heavier particles to settle. Three acute direction changes in excess of 90° further reduce the flow rate. Protected against rain, snow, airborne particles, and splashing water from any direction. |
| IC611 / IP55 | Fully enclosed design with an air-to-air heat exchanger mounted on the motor. Shaft-mounted fans are fitted both inside and outside the casing to supply the internal and external cooling circuits respectively. Protected against dust and splashing water from any direction. |
