Modular Induction Motors, Type AMI
AMI engineered modular induction motors are designed to provide high reliability and availability in the toughest and most demanding industrial applications. Built on the motor industry's most successful modular platform, these motors are tailor-made to meet specific customer needs. They match a broad variety of demanding application requirements while offering the flexibility to be adapted to highly specific configurations.

- Robust Construction: Features a welded steel frame with standard shaft heights ranging from 400 to 630 mm.

4. Enclosure and Cooling Systems
The AMI series offers multiple standard cooling and protection configurations:
- IC01 / IP24 (Weather Protected): Features a shaft-mounted cooling fan inside the housing. The air intake path is designed with three acute direction changes (exceeding 90 degrees) and an average velocity not exceeding 3 m/s, allowing heavier particles to settle. Protects against rain, snow, airborne particles, and splashing water.
- IC611 / IP55 (Air-to-Air Heat Exchanger): Fully enclosed design with an air-to-air heat exchanger mounted on the motor. Shaft-mounted fans are fitted both inside and outside the casing for dual cooling circuits. Protects against dust and splashing water from any direction.
- IC81W / IP55 (Air-to-Water Heat Exchanger): Fully enclosed motor fitted with an air-to-water heat exchanger. Utilizes an internal shaft-mounted fan for the internal cooling circuit. Protects against dust and splashing water.
- IC31 / IP55 (Remote Cooling Air): Fitted with inlet and outlet pipes to use remote cooling air. Essentially consists of the AMI motor frame without an upper cover. Protects against dust and splashing water.
- IC01 (Asymmetric Circulation): Features IC01 cooling with asymmetric inside air circulation.
5. Packaging & Warranty
- Standard Seaworthy Package: Export-ready plywood or wooden fumigation packages, fully suitable for long-distance transportation by sea or land.
- Warranty Terms: Standard warranty covers 12 months after commissioning or 18 months after delivery, whichever comes first. Extended warranty periods are available upon request.
