NMK series modular slip-ring motors are engineered for heavy inertia load working conditions. Slip ring motors deliver high starting torque while keeping starting current low, making them ideal for heavy inertia loads such as mill drives and sites with unstable power grids.
NMK slip ring motors reduce mechanical impact during startup and extend service life of driven equipment. They maintain stable high torque across the full speed range. Widely adopted in mining, cement and metal industries for mills, crushers, fans and conveyors. They also serve as reliable power units for water industry pumps, plus safe-area pumps, compressors and mixers used in petrochemical plants.
NMK slip ring motors feature shaft heights from 400 mm to 710 mm. IC611/IP55 and IC81W/IP55 are the standard cooling and protection combinations, with maximum rated power up to 10,000 kW.
The motor uses a welded steel frame. The slip ring assembly can be configured with permanent contact brushes or brush lifting devices. In both designs, slip rings are enclosed in a separate housing at the non-drive end, isolated from the main motor frame. Liquid resistance starter (LRS) can be provided as an optional accessory.

- Mounting arrangements
IM B3 and IM 1001 are standard mounting forms for NMK motors. Other mounting types such as IM1002 can be customized on request.

IC611/IP55
This fully enclosed motor is equipped with an air-to-air heat exchanger. Shaft-mounted fans are installed inside the main frame, slip ring housing and outer casing to form independent internal and external cooling circuits. IP55 protection prevents dust and splashing water from all directions.
IC81W/IP55
This totally enclosed motor is fitted with air-to-water heat exchangers on both the main machine and slip ring unit housing. A shaft-mounted fan inside the casing drives the internal cooling loop. IP55 protection grade blocks dust and splashing water coming from any direction. The heat exchanger is directly mounted on the main motor rotor, or powered by fan/pump units mechanically coupled to the main rotor.

Export standard seaworthy packaging. Plywood case or fumigated wooden case available, suitable for long-distance sea and land transportation. - Warranty Period
