1. Product Description
   AXR rib cooled motors belong to the latest generation of multi-purpose rib cooled motors. They deliver high power density, flexible configuration and convenient maintenance. The design is built on decades of electric motor manufacturing experience.
   These motors set new industry benchmarks for rib cooled designs, achieving higher power output per kilogram. Thanks to high power density, users can often select one smaller frame size for the same power output compared with conventional motors, saving installation space and enabling compact system layout.
   AXR motors conform to major industry standards including API 541 and Shell DEP, and can meet custom client requirements. The motor adopts a heavy-duty cast iron frame. Standard version comes with rib cooling IC411 and IP55 protection. IC416 cooling and optional IP66 protection are also available, and IP66 rating has been verified by an authoritative independent testing laboratory.
   AXR motor power range reaches up to 1,800 kW with shaft heights from 315 to 500 mm. Both horizontal and vertical mounting are supported. This catalog covers AXR technical data for 50Hz and 60Hz, with synchronous speed ranging from 500 to 3600 rpm.
2. Mounting arrangements
   Standard mounting options for AXR motors:

• IM B3 (IM 1001): Standard floor mounting, feet down (horizontal foot mounted)
• IM V1 (IM 4011): Flange mounting with free shaft end pointing down (vertical solid shaft)
• IM B35 (IM 2001): Combined foot-and-flange horizontal mounting, flange integrated on end shield, single cylindrical shaft extension, feet downward

1. Enclosure and cooling Standard combinations
   IC411 / IP55: AXR motors are fitted with an external shaft-driven fan that uses ambient air for cooling. The enclosure protects against dust ingress and water jets.
   IC416 / IP55: Optional IC416 cooling system equipped with an auxiliary fan motor. This design provides sufficient cooling for low-speed operation, especially when the motor runs with variable speed drives.

Protection class IP55

• Dust protection: Limited dust may enter the enclosure, but the quantity will not interfere with normal motor operation.
• Water jet protection: No harmful effects when water jets hit the motor from any direction.

Protection class IP66
AXR motors can be supplied up to IP66 rating.

• Dust protection: Fully dust-tight enclosure.
• Water jet protection: Resists powerful water jets (12.5 mm nozzle) from all directions without damage.

Cooling method IC411

• Frame surface cooling: Coolant circulates inside the motor in a closed loop. Heat transfers through stator core and conductive parts to the motor outer ribbed surface, then dissipates to surrounding air. The frame surface can be plain or ribbed, with or without outer shell to improve heat dissipation.
• Self-circulation: Coolant movement relies on main motor rotation. It can be driven by rotor itself, rotor-mounted components, or fan/pump assembly mechanically coupled to the main rotor.

   Export standard seaworthy packing. Plywood case or fumigated wooden case, suitable for long-distance sea and land transportation.
2. Warranty Period
