Product Description
NMK series modular slip-ring motors are engineered for heavy load inertia applications.
Slip-ring motors are the optimal choice for operating conditions requiring high starting torque and low starting current. They perform excellently under heavy inertia loads such as mill drives or sites with weak power grid supply. NMK slip ring motors reduce mechanical impact during startup and extend service life of matched driven equipment. The motors maintain high torque across the full speed range and deliver stable reliable operation.
They are widely applied in mills, crushers, fans and conveyors for mining, cement and metallurgy industries. Besides, these motors serve as reliable power units for water industry pumps, as well as pumps, compressors and mixers in non-hazardous petrochemical zones.
NMK slip ring motors feature shaft heights ranging from 400 mm to 710 mm. The standard configuration adopts IC611/IP55 and IC81W/IP55 cooling & protection system, with maximum power rating up to 10,000 kW.
The motor stator frame is fabricated with welded steel structure. The slip ring assembly can be equipped with permanent contact brushes or brush lifting mechanism. The slip rings are enclosed within a separate housing fitted at the non-drive end, isolated from the main motor body. Liquid resistance starter (LRS) can be supplied upon customer request.
This catalog only lists typical technical parameters of 4-pole, 6-pole and 8-pole NMK motors under 50Hz, 6kV and 11kV working conditions. Our full product portfolio covers 60Hz versions, motors with up to 16 poles and voltage up to 13.8kV. 2. Mounting arrangements
IM B3 and IM 1001 horizontal foot mounted are standard mounting forms for NMK motors. Other mounting types such as IM1002 are available on request.

3. Enclosure and cooling
Standard cooling and protection combinations for NMK motors are IC611/IP55 and IC81W/IP55. Other cooling options including IC616, IC86W can be customized.
IC611/IP55
This fully enclosed motor is fitted with an air-to-air heat exchanger. Shaft-mounted fans are installed inside the main frame, inside the slip ring housing and outside the motor casing to form independent internal and external cooling circuits. IP55 enclosure protects the motor against dust ingress and splashing water from all directions.
IC81W/IP55
This totally enclosed motor is equipped with air-to-water heat exchangers mounted on both the main motor and slip ring unit housing. A shaft-driven fan inside the casing provides airflow for the internal cooling circuit. The IP55 rating prevents dust and omnidirectional splashing water. The cooling fan can be directly mounted on the main motor rotor, or driven mechanically by the rotor via separate fan or pump assembly.
4. Packaging
Standard export seaworthy packaging: plywood case or fumigated wooden box, suitable for long-distance sea and land transportation.
5. Warranty Period
Standard warranty coverage: 12 months from commissioning date or 18 months after delivery date, whichever comes first. Extended warranty service is available, please contact us for further information.
