The engineered modular AMI induction motors deliver outstanding reliability and availability for the most rigorous and demanding operating conditions.
Custom‑engineered to satisfy individual customer and application requirements, this motor is built upon the industry’s proven modular platform. It accommodates a wide spectrum of demanding working scenarios and supports flexible adaptation for highly‑specialized configurations. All AMI modular induction motors comply with relevant international standards.
Models are available for both Direct‑on‑Line (DOL) and Variable Speed Drive (VSD) operation. The motor adopts welded steel frame construction. Standard combinations of cooling system and protection class include: IC01 / IP24W, IC611 / IP55 and IC81W / IP55. Standard shaft heights range from 400 mm to 630 mm. Both horizontal and vertical mounting options are supported.
This catalogue presents 50 Hz technical data for AMI motors only. Nevertheless, the motors can run under both 50 Hz and 60 Hz conditions, with synchronous speeds ranging from 500 rpm to 3600 rpm. The power output covered in this catalogue reaches up to 8000 kW, while the full product portfolio extends to 23000 kW.

IC01 / IP24
This weather‑resistant motor is equipped with a shaft‑driven internal cooling fan inside the housing. Its structural design minimizes ingress of rain, snow and airborne particles into electrical components.
On the air intake side, the average air velocity is controlled below 3 m/s to allow heavy particles to settle out. The air intake path features three sharp turns exceeding 90°, further optimizing airflow velocity. The motor provides protection against splashing water from all directions.
IC611 / IP55
This fully‑enclosed unit is fitted with an air‑to‑air heat exchanger. Shaft‑driven fans are installed inside and outside the housing to serve the internal and external cooling circuits respectively. It offers protection against dust and omnidirectional splashing water.
IC81W / IP55
This totally‑enclosed motor is equipped with an air‑to‑water heat exchanger. A shaft‑mounted internal fan drives the inner cooling circuit. It is resistant to dust and splashing water from any direction.
IC31 / IP55
This version is equipped with air inlet and outlet pipes for external remote cooling air supply. Essentially it is an AMI motor frame without top cover. It provides protection against dust and splashing water from all directions.
IC01: IC01 design with asymmetric internal air circulation.
Export‑oriented standard seaworthy packaging: plywood case or fumigated wooden case, suitable for long‑distance sea and land transportation.
