Product Overview
AMI modular induction motors feature a welded steel frame with standard shaft heights ranging from 400 to 630 mm, available in both horizontal and vertical mounting configurations. Synchronous speeds cover 500 to 3600 rpm. While the catalog data is based on 50 Hz, the motors are designed to operate at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz. The catalog covers output powers up to 8,000 kW, with the complete range extending up to 23,000 kW.

Enclosure and Cooling Methods
- IC01 / IP24 (Weather Protected): Features a shaft-mounted cooling fan inside the housing. The air intake path includes three acute direction changes exceeding 90 degrees, with an average air velocity not exceeding 3 m/s, allowing heavier particles to settle naturally. This design effectively prevents rain, snow, and airborne particles from reaching the electrical components, and protects against splashing water from any direction.
- IC611 / IP55 (Air-to-Air Cooling): Fully enclosed design equipped with an air-to-air heat exchanger. Shaft-mounted fans are fitted both inside and outside the casing to drive the respective cooling circuits. Protected against dust and splashing water from any direction.
- IC81W / IP55 (Air-to-Water Cooling): Fully enclosed design equipped with an air-to-water heat exchanger. A shaft-mounted fan inside the casing drives the internal cooling circuit. Protected against dust and splashing water from any direction.
- IC31 / IP55 (Remote Ventilation): Fitted with inlet and outlet pipes for connection to a remote cooling air source. Essentially an AMI motor frame without an upper cover. Protected against dust and splashing water from any direction.
Packaging
Standard seaworthy export packaging, available in plywood cases or wooden fumigation cases, suitable for long-distance transportation by sea or land.
Warranty
Standard warranty: 12 months after commissioning, or 18 months after delivery, whichever comes first. Extended warranty periods are available upon request.
