Wound Rotor Induction Motor 200kW-12000kW High Voltage Three Phase Asynchronous Motor
The wound rotor induction motor is a high‑voltage three‑phase asynchronous motor developed and manufactured based on long‑term R&D and production experience. It adopts a box‑type frame structure welded with steel plates, featuring light weight and high rigidity.
For the YRKS large high‑voltage slip ring motor, its stator applies a slide‑in external press‑fit structure. The stator winding uses Class F insulating materials, with the winding ends firmly fixed and bundled. During production, the stator undergoes inter‑turn pulse voltage tests and high‑voltage withstand tests, together with vacuum pressure impregnation solventless varnish (VPI) treatment. This delivers outstanding and stable insulation performance, superior mechanical strength and excellent moisture resistance. The wound rotor also adopts Class F insulation and VPI processing. Rotor welding joints and wiring sections are fully insulated. The slip ring chamber and stator winding are arranged in two separate isolated spaces to prevent carbon powder from contaminating the windings. Two bearing configurations are available: rolling bearings and sliding bearings. The standard protection grade is IP54, matched according to motor power and speed. A higher overall protection requirement for the wound rotor can be realized by upgrading the bearing protection grade accordingly.
The main terminal box of the high‑voltage slip ring motor is IP54 protected. It is normally fitted on the right side when facing the motor shaft extension end, and left‑side mounting is available upon custom order. An independent external grounding terminal is equipped on the main terminal box. A standalone water cooling unit is arranged on the top of the wound rotor motor.

Features
The YRKS large high‑voltage wound rotor slip ring motor can deliver high starting torque while keeping starting current low. It is ideal for scenarios where the power supply capacity cannot support direct starting of squirrel cage motors, together with long starting duration, frequent starting demands and minor speed adjustment requirements. This motor series stands out with high efficiency, energy saving, low noise, low vibration, light weight, stable operation, easy installation and simple maintenance.
Main Motor Production Process
Stator production: frame machining → lamination stamping → core stacking → coil winding → winding binding → varnish impregnation and curing
Rotor production: shaft blank machining → core pressing → rotor aluminum casting → rotor shaft assembly → winding binding → varnish impregnation and curing → dynamic balance test
Motor assembly: stator and rotor assembly → factory test → surface painting → packing and warehousing
The motor plant follows the production philosophy of green, high‑efficiency and energy‑saving manufacturing. It focuses on balanced environmental development, builds eco‑friendly motor production facilities, follows standardized manufacturing procedures strictly and adopts premium energy‑saving raw materials to guarantee reliable motor quality.
